First ad from mom and daughter...

Trisha for the first time, the mother-daughter duo is coming together for a basmati rice product ad. The shooting for the commercial was in a studio at Chennai. Several Tamil filmmakers and actors including Kamal Haasan tried to lure Uma Krishnan to act in their films, she turned down all the offers as her concentration was only on her daughter’s career. But she agree to this commercial now. The ad will be on air in all the South television channels soon. Sources say that Madhuri Dixit Nene has been roped in for the Hindi version of the same brand.

Sonia Gandhi to undergo surgery in US...

Congress President Sonia Gandhi is not well and she is away in US for treatment. Doctors are deciding whether she should undergo a surgery or not. Sonia is accompanied by her daughter Priyanka. The name of the hospital or the city is kept secret from the media.

Congress spokesman Janardhan Dwivedi told the media, “Mrs Gandhi was recently diagnosed with a medical condition and upon the advice of her doctors, has travelled abroad for surgery.”A caretaker team is set up to look after the affairs of the Congress party in her absence. The team of four members suggested by her are Defence Minister AK Antony, Mr Dwivedi, Congress Party General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, and her political advisor Ahmed Patel.
